Expanding to the Arab World through Partnership: Turkish Cosmetics Startup Balerin [Wamda TV]

Ahmet Marasli, founder of Balerin.com, discusses how the Turkish startup is planning to enter the Arab world through local partnership at the Webrazzi Summit 2012.

Balerin.com is an e-commerce cosmetics company that was founded in 2010. The team operates in both B2B and B2C markets, offering both cosmetics and personal care products. The startup is a 212 Ltd portfolio company, receiving early-stage investment in January of this year.

Marasli explains that Balerin.com plans to expand into MENA as a supplier to an already existing online retailer. He feels that this is the best way to enter the region as the retailer already understands the market.

Long term, Marasli hopes that Balerin will be able to expand its own brand across the MENA region.
