CSR in Action UK 2016: Building a sustainable future

The "CSR in Action" program is an initiative organized by the Al Ahli Holding Group to develop and enhance the practice and awareness of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities among Arab professionals and students. The program focuses on engaging the private, academic, and governmental sectors to formulate strategies responsive to community needs. 

The deadline to apply for the program is March 1.

Participants will attend workshop sessions at the University of West of England (UWE) in Bristol, UK, from May 23-June 1, 2016, after which participants will launch their pilot projects in their home countries.

The program will have three stages:

Stage 1: Training Workshops & Project Conception 

An eight-day interactive training to building the participants' capacities in CSR implementation, and exposing them to best practices. Topics covered include:

  • Social entrepreneurship and CSR
  • Do's and Don'ts, methods of approaching CSR
  • How to lead your CSR Initiative 
  • Social Impact Measurement UWE 

Stage 2: A one-month pilot project implementation period. After the teams present their project ideas, they will either be asked to continue or will be let go from the program.

Stage 3: A panel of judges will assess the projects and nominate the best three projects to go to the award ceremony.

Through co-operation with different organizations, the CSR Division of Al Ahli Holding Group works with other government and non-governmental organizations to foster the business leaders of tomorrow.
