Startup Weekend Riyadh is happening on the 12th-14th of October- 54 intense hours over which entrepreneurs in Saudi will brainstorm, pitch ideas, form teams, develop their plan, and then present their prototype to a panel of judges, in hopes of winning cash prizes and mentorship, and, most importantly, creating new companies.

The event will be bilingual and the location will be announced soon. Speakers thus far include Amr Madani, Noura al Kaabi, and Ziad Jarrar.

Wednesday, Oct 12th
5:00pm – Registration and Reception
6:00pm – Kickoff!
6:30pm – Keynote Speaker
7:00pm – Pitches (60 seconds each)
7:30pm – Mingling 8:00pm – Voting
8:15pm – Teams start forming and discussions start
8:30pm – Teams begin to work
10:00pm – End of day

Thursday, Oct 13th
8:00am- Doors open. Breakfast and coffee
8:30am – Teams continue working. Mentors arrive.
11:30am-Lunch + Thursday Speaker 1
4:00pm –Thursday Speaker 2
7:00pm- Dinner
8:00pm – Mid-event check-in, status report. Call for help.
12:00am-Done for the day.

Friday, Oct 14th
12:30pm – Doors Open.
1:30pm – Mentors Arrive. Lunch on offer.
3:00pm – Friday Speaker
4:00pm- Gut check. Start preparing for Presentations.
6:00pm – Final Presentation
8:30pm – Judging and Awards
9:30pm- Wrap Up
10:00pm – Go Home!
