Online Education Viewed Positively in the Middle East [Infographic]

Bayt.com's newest infographic examines perceptions in the Middle East about online education, both from job seekers and employers. The results, taken from Bayt.com's Online Education and the Job Market in the Middle East poll, reveal that online education is viewed more positively now than in the past, with 69.9% of responders agreeing that it has a better reputation today than it did five years ago, while 44.6% say they've pursued some form of education online.

While companies still prefer recruiting employees with a traditional degree, over half say they will hire employees with an online degree. 

Data for this poll was collected online from December 30, 2011 to January 30, 2012, with the participation of 9,677 respondents from Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Morocco, Oman, Pakistan, Qatar, KSA and the UAE.

If you're an entrepreneur consider whether your company encourages self-starting learners by encouraging online courses. Would you hire someone with an online degree? Does that express an entrepreneurial spirit?
