The development of a broad, sophisticated class of investors is a necessity in a thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem, and can be a critical part of the desired solution for the MENA region. 

Angel Rising 2017 is an annual symposium organized by startAD and VentureSouq that provides education sessions on key topics related to angel investing for individuals from the region who have expressed an interest in investing in startups.

The event is open to the public and will be taking place on May 13 at NYU Abu Dhabi Campus, Saadiyat Island.

The event will bring a host of experts and ecosystem stakeholders such as Sharif El-Badawi of 500 Startups, Omar Christidis of Arabnet, and Najla Al-Midfa of the Sharjah Entrepreneurship Center.
