Bubbl, the social networking platform, has announced successfully raising $350,000 in a pre-Seed funding round led by angel investor Abdullah Al-Dosari.
Launched in March by Aya Al-Hammoud, the Bubbl app quickly gained traction, reaching an impressive 60,000 daily active users. The app was recognised as a standout communication application on the Apple App Store and even ranked first in the Saudi App Store.
Bubbl aims to expand its user base to 1 million daily active users in the near future. This ambitious target will be supported by the new investment, which is set to strengthen the app’s presence in Saudi Arabia and drive its expansion into regional and global markets.
Investor Abdullah Al-Dosari highlighted Bubbl as a promising example of local apps competing successfully in fields previously dominated by global platforms. He added that this success showcases the potential of Saudi-based applications in the tech space.
Approximately 80% of Bubbl’s active users are based in Saudi Arabia, with 98% of them accessing the platform via iPhones. Moreover, the app has reached more than 10 million people through its marketing campaigns on various social media channels, underscoring its impactful promotional efforts.
Bubbl is paving the way for innovation and local talent, solidifying the position of Saudi applications on the global tech map. Stay tuned for more updates as the platform continues to grow.
