Tamer Fathi, the CEO & Co-Founder of 2ogra, a Cairo-based startup that recently graduated from accelerator Flat6Labs, discusses his company’s plans to bring order to Egypt’s taxis, by operating a taxi calling service for independent taxis, as Egypt and other countries don’t have taxi fleets. Tamer discusses the ways a customer can book a taxi over SMS or phone call, how the service provides safety for driver and customer, how they plan to entice taxi drivers into signing up, and their monetization strategies.
