For the first time ever, Startup Weekend makes its way to Iraq on January 31-February 2, 2013. SW Sulaimani will take place at the Parezh Hotel Sulaimani-Sarchna, Sulaymaniyah, Iraq

The event will follow the basic Startup Weekend model, anyone can pitch their idea, receive feedback, and vote on others' ideas. Teams form around the top startup ideas and delve into a 54-hour long frenzy involving coding, designing, business model creation, and market validation. The teams then present their refined ideas in front of local key figures of entrepreneurship.
