Integreight reaches its goal on Kickstarter during the first 6 hours

Two months ago, Egyptian startup Integreight launched a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter in order to raise 10,000 USD for its new product, 1Sheeld.

1Sheeld is an arduino shield that can be configured to act as a GPS, LCD, WiFi or other. It has raised 850% of its target reaching on Kickstarter, reaching US $85,210 before the end of the campaign. “We studied the reasons behind the failure and success of 75 technical products on crowdfunding websites,” says co-founder Amr Saleh to our Wamda contributor Eman Mostafa, “and we connected with many tech-related websites to promote the campaign before it launches.”  

The team knows this is just the beginning. Now comes the hard work, as they begin building a professional technical team in order to finish developing the product.

Kamel Al-Asmar awarded in Forbes’s 30 Under 30 Social Entrepreneurs

Forbes released this week its 2014 30 Under 30 list for each of the following categories: finance, Hollywood, tech, music, sports, games, science, education, law, media, marketing, art, energy, food, music and social as in social entrepreneurs.

Under the social entrepreneurs category, Kamel Al-Asmar, founder of non-governmental organization Nakhweh, was named one of the top 30 under 30 social entrepreneurs worldwide. “If I'm to write my bio now it would be as simple as: an extremely overwhelmed proud Jordanian and Arab citizen,” he tweeted.
