Applications open for 2016 TechWomen program

The U.S. Embassy in Beirut is pleased to announce the 2016 TechWomen program, a five-week program in the U.S. to encourage and support women engaged in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) fields from the Middle East, North and Sub-Saharan Africa.

The program will take place over the course of five weeks beginning in September 2016. Participants will work on specific projects with their American mentors at technology and innovation companies in the San Francisco Bay area and Silicon Valley. The program includes several workshops and is designed to provide the participants with networking opportunities. The program will conclude with a two-day program in Washington, DC that includes workshops, networking events and meetings.

The program targets women with at least two years of professional experience in STEM fields.

Applications should be submitted online on http://www.techwomen.org no later than February 1, 2016.
